Why did you choose to study your course at NTU?
When I was looking at masters options, the modules offered as part of this course really appealed to me. The applied nature of the course was also a key feature in my decisions as I am not sure if I want to do research or look at future work that applied the principles I have learnt in the real word. This course offered a good mix of both.
What made your mind up about studying a PG course at Brackenhurst Campus?
The course content was what drew me to the course, the postgraduate open day I went along to cemented my choice that Brackenhurst was where I wanted to study.
What do you enjoy most about your course?
So far, it has been about studying how to apply theory to practical situations – I am looking forward to more of that!
How do you find your modules and what have you most enjoyed studying/researching?
I have only completed 2 modules so far, as I am part time, but I have most enjoyed the G.I.S module. Having completed study in this area before it was great to be back using these systems.
What do you think about the facilities available on your course and what do you use the most?
The library! I like how the materials provided there are focused on the courses that are completed there, although I do miss taking out books from other areas of interest.
What do you think about Brackenhurst Campus? What do you get up to in your spare time?
I work as well as study - spare time for NTU is not something I have any of currently. The campus itself is a great environment. Being able to walk to Southwell is a big feature for me.
Why would you recommend your course to someone considering studying it?
The course content has been great, as are all the staff at the campus. Everyone has been so welcoming and helpful.
What are your plans for after the course and how do you feel your course has/will help you to achieve that goal?
I'm not certain yet, but I would like to either go into further study/research or apply my knowledge to the real world through organisations such as The Wildlife Trusts.
Any additional comments?
I have really enjoyed my experiences so far at Brackenhurst. I still have 18 months to go and I so looking forward to it all!
