Why did you choose to study your course at NTU?

Our company (Greencore) offers different courses at different levels for their employees, so I had a chat with my current manager and decided that this is something for me.

What do you enjoy most about your course?

Meeting new people and learning new skills not just from the books but in the laboratory as well.

How do you find your modules and what have you most enjoyed studying?

Interesting, especially in sustainable production lectures as we can hear on TV or in newspapers that the climate is changing and how dangerous it is going to be. The lectures open eyes and minds to how we can look at this differently and protect the future for future generations. Also, time in laboratories trying different equipment and experimenting.

What do you think about the facilities available on your course and what do you use the most?

Facilities are great, nice and modern. There is everything that students need.

What do you think about Brackenhurst Campus? What do you get up to in your spare time?

It is a small campus surrounded by countryside and I do like to go for a walk at lunchtime to clear my head and see animals and plants.

What is your top tip for someone considering studying/ living at Brackenhurst Campus?

Just do it and enjoy your time here! I’m a wife, a mum of two, a full-time worker and a student at the same time, everything is possible if you really want it!

Why would you recommend your course to someone considering studying it?

It will give you more knowledge and confidence. Also, you will know your block time ahead so you can plan your work and holidays around that.

What are your plans for after the course and how do you feel your course has/ will help you to achieve that goal?

After the course, I may apply for a more senior position in the food industry.
