What do you enjoy most about your course at NTU?

“The modules are well-structured and are delivered properly by the lecturers.”

What made you choose to study your postgraduate degree at NTU?

“I wanted a university that was accredited with further learning and had the modules which would help develop me as a structural engineer. NTU was just the best choice from all my offers.”

What do you think about the course staff?

“The course staff, tutors, administrators and technical staff have been very supportive. They are probably the best I have worked with throughout my education career.”

What do you think about the facilities available to you?

“The facilities at NTU are top-class and have been very useful to my academic experience and learning. The facilities in the library are really helpful as there are a variety of rooms that cater to your needs depending on the course. I like that we have dedicated areas for silent study, group work, and more. It is open for 24 hours, and is well-equipped with helpful books and resources.”

As an international student, what do you like about studying and living in Nottingham?

“Nottingham is a very vibrant and lively city with a beautiful atmosphere for studying. As an international student, the atmosphere here makes me feel at home as it is a multicultural city. There are a lot of events that keep you intertwined with the Nottingham community.”

Can you tell us about your Masters project?

“My project is on chloride ingress in concrete. I have been able to create a numerical model that predicts and determines how concrete structures perform in chlorine-rich environments.”

In a nutshell, why would you recommend your course / NTU to someone looking to study MSc Structural Engineering with Materials?

“I would recommend my course and NTU to anyone, any day, because the teaching and delivery here is amazing. The ambience of the school is very inviting. The courses at NTU are taught with contemporary methods, making every graduate able to compete in an ever-changing world.”

What advantages do you think having a postgraduate qualification will give you in regards to employment after graduation?

“I will stand out among other graduates who just have undergraduate qualifications. I’ve been able to cover a wider scope of engineering and research about solutions to structural engineering problems. I’ve also have gained more experience, which I think is what employers will be looking for.”
