Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

"I'm currently studying MSc Construction Management but I am also an architect and I also lecture at Malawi Polytechnic, a constituent college of the University of Malawi."

Why did you choose to study at Nottingham Trent University?

"There was a presentation in Malawi by an NTU representative and I fell in love with the idea of the Hive, NTU's enterprise and entrepreneurship support, and the city."

How did you feel about coming to a UK university?

"It is a life-changing experience. It has given me the chance to meet people from all over the world."

What is the best bit about your course?

"The best bit was the international study trip that we made to Poland."

Would you recommend your course to other students?

"Yes!"

Have you joined any societies or clubs at NTU? 

"I have joined the Entrepreneurship Club managed by The Hive. It has opened my eyes to the vast opportunities available to anyone looking to start and manage a business."

Have you had any opportunities to work or volunteer while at NTU?

"I have worked in the International Office at NTU on their telephone campaign."

How have you found your accommodation at NTU? 

"I applied for private accommodation because this is where my friend was before I came here. It’s a nice place."

What do you think are the best things about Nottingham for an international student?

"Nottingham is a multi-cultural city and this is a very beautiful thing to see."

Have you learnt anything from your experiences that you would advise future international students?

"You need to make as many friends as possible!"

Can you describe NTU in three words?

"A beautiful place!"
