Why did you choose NTU and your course?

Nottingham Trent University is best known for its Art and Design, Fashion, and creative arts programs, but it also excels in sports, with strong performances.

What do you think about the course staff? How do they support your learning and university experience?

I appreciate the course staff at Nottingham Trent University for their dedication and support in enhancing my learning and overall university experience. Their expertise and commitment contribute significantly to the quality of education provided. The staff members are approachable and willing to assist with any queries or challenges, fostering a positive learning environment. Their guidance extends beyond the classroom, offering valuable insights and encouragement that contribute to a well-rounded university experience.

Have you been involved in any live projects of briefs on your course and if so, can you talk a bit about one you really enjoyed?

As a year group, we have participated in a live project brought from Barcelona, Spain. This project focused on the exploration of architectural structures and methodologies. It provided an engaging opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, and I found the experience both enjoyable and valuable in enhancing my understanding of the subject matter.

Does the “real” NTU match what you’d imagined? How does it compare with your friends’ experience at other universities?

While individual experiences may vary, I find that the actual NTU closely aligns with my expectations. The university offers a vibrant and diverse academic environment, and I appreciate the strong emphasis on my chosen course of study. Comparing notes with friends attending other universities, I've observed that NTU stands out for its unique strengths, particularly in areas like Art and Design & Sports.

Did you find it easy to make friends and settle in at NTU?

Yes, settling in at NTU was relatively easy. Making friends happened naturally due to the welcoming community and various orientation activities.

What’s next for you after NTU?

After NTU, my plan is to pursue the Architecture Part 3 qualification to become a fully qualified architect. I am excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to applying the knowledge and skills gained during my time at NTU.

Has the employability team helped you plan for life beyond NTU?

The Employability team has been truly exceptional! They provided guidance, assisted with my applications for graduate jobs, reviewed my CV and cover letter, and prepared me for assessment centres.

How is NTU helping you to achieve your career goals?

NTU is actively supporting my career goals through a range of initiatives. The curriculum is designed to provide practical skills and relevant knowledge. The university's career services offer guidance, workshops, and resources for job searches. Additionally, networking events and industry collaborations create opportunities to connect with professionals. Overall, NTU is instrumental in equipping me for success in my chosen field.
