Why did you choose NTU and your course?
I chose NTU because it had the perfect course I knew I wanted to study. When I attended the open day, I just felt a connection to the campus and the city. I just had a feeling I would like it here so that made my decision for me.

What’s your favourite thing about your course?
I love how ‘hands-on our course is, such as industry Fridays when guest lectures speak to us. I also love our course trips.

How have you found the course facilities?
Waverly has incredible and up-to-date technology and equipment that covers a range of courses.

Has your course included any guest speakers or industry trips? What have you enjoyed about this?
Yes, like I mentioned before we have a lot of guest speakers from our industry who chat to us about their work, productions/sets they have been on and where they started their career. Yes, I love our trips to London and Birmingham as they are led by our leaders who organise incredible opportunities and experiences.

What do you think of the creative and cultural scene in Nottingham? Is Nottingham a good city for an Art & Design student?
Yes, as we have the  Nottingham contemporary art gallery, Nottingham Castle, the National Justice Museum

Where would you recommend visiting in Nottingham?
The arboretum – the new Afterlife bench
Wollaton Hall and deer park
The Pudding Pantry

If you could give new students some advice, what would it be?
Enjoy and embrace every opportunity. Join societies and sports clubs to meet new people and enjoy the University experience

What do you think of the course staff? Very experienced and have great industry knowledge. Approachable and friendly.

What’s next for you after NTU?
I’m going to be taking a gap year, as the pandemic hasn’t given me many opportunities to explore the big wide world, so I’m going to go travel!
