What made you choose to study at NTU?
“This is the only university that offers a Commercial Photography course at postgraduate level. Not only this, but I completed the BA (Hons) Photography course here and I knew the teaching was incredible.”

What do you enjoy most about your course?
“How you are easily able to produce work you enjoy. Also having the freedom to photograph whatever you want - there isn’t a certain criteria that tells you what you have to photograph. I love that in term three we have the opportunity to complete a placement.”

How do you find the course staff?
“There are a mixture of staff who specialise in different areas of photography –every staff member is very informative and I have learnt a lot from them all. All the staff are very supportive and always willing to help you if you are stuck or haven’t got any ideas on what to photograph.

“The staff come up with solutions and help you overcome any issues you are struggling with. The team have been supportive by helping us find companies for placement and have organised meetings with them.”

How do you find the facilities available to you?
“The facilities are amazing! I have been able to hire out cameras from the photo store, book studios to do still life set-ups, use the MAC suites to edit my images and use both the black and white and colour darkroom to make my own prints. These are the best facilities I have ever seen and I visited 12 different universities! It makes me incredibly happy to have so many different facilities available as it makes creating my work easy and achievable.”

Why would you recommend studying MA Commercial Photography to someone thinking of studying it?
“It will definitely help you feel more confident and positive in your work and skills. You will learn more than you thought would be possible which will help you to achieve a job wherever you want to go. The staff are incredibly supportive - if you’re ever struggling they will help get you back to where you want to be. Studying MA Commercial Photography has been so valuable and I can’t wait to graduate and find my dream job.”
