What do you enjoy most about Theatre Design at NTU?
"I love everything about this course and can't choose what I have enjoyed the most. I have had many great experiences here which include The Lion Festival, The Nottingham Playhouse Design Competition and the exhibition piece at the National Trust site, Calke Abbey. Everything is fantastic and I am still enjoying it!"

What are your course and personal highlights?
"My course highlights include the opportunities we are given to gain work experience in the real theatre industry. Gaining experience in the theatre industry, meeting new people and acquiring a greater understanding of the industry, is a personal highlight for me and one of the best memories I have from living in the UK. It's like a dream to be able to experience the working environment that you hope to work in after you graduate before actually leaving university. I am so proud of myself for working in the industry, even if it was just for six weeks."

What do you think about the course staff - how do they support your learning and University experience?
"They are amazing! l love all of the theatre design tutors, they are really kind and care about the students. Each tutor has expertise in a different area such as puppetry, set design, educational theatre and costume which means whenever you need help, there is always someone around to share their specialised knowledge."

Why would you recommend your course?
"I would recommend this course because you are guaranteed to get more out of it than you ever expected. Everything about the course is so creative and more active than other courses offered at other universities. Don't hesitate to choose Theatre Design!"

What are your plans for the future?
"I have had many great experiences during my time at NTU and have learnt so much about theatre design. Before I moved to the UK I had already decided that once I had graduated I would return back to South Korea, however, now I want to stay here. I love the UK and aim to apply for jobs here within the theatre industry."
