What made you choose to study at NTU?
"My two main reasons for wanting to study here were that Theatre Design was highly rated at NTU and Nottingham is close to home, allowing me to commute."

Did you attend an open day?
"Yes I came to an open day and I was very impressed with the University. The whole day made me very excited for my chance to study here."

What do you enjoy most about your course?
"I really enjoy the diversity of the projects we are exposed to and the variety of skills we learn in them."

Has the course included any speakers or lecturers from the industry?
"We met Amanda Whittington, the playwright of The Thrill of Love. I looked into the history of Ruth Ellis in depth so was very excited to meet the woman who adapted her story into a theatrical performance."

What do you think about the course staff - how do they support your university experience?
"They are very friendly and help whenever they can. All members of staff have had first-hand experience in the industry which gives me piece of mind when seeking advice and inspiration."

What advice would you give to someone considering to apply for this course?
"I would suggest having a varied portfolio and attending as many theatrical performances, musicals and operas as you can. Be as enthusiastic as possible, it's an exciting course so don't be scared to express your passion for Art and Design."
