More about Lislotte

Why did you choose NTU and your course?

I choose to study at NTU because when I came to visit an open day in November 2018, I knew it was the place for me.

What’s your favourite thing about your course?

My favourite part of my course is that it is very practical and real life-based.

Have you worked on any live briefs or competitions?

Yes, I have, during my 2nd year. I worked on a project where we worked with Relic & Vintage to come up with solutions for their brand and produce a 3-year communication plan. We also worked on a group live project and competition with Boots. My group created a product proposal for their small brand ‘Botanics’, and surprisingly my group won the competition.

Has your course included any guest speakers or industry trips?

We have had quite a few guest speakers, during our first year we had a trip to London. I also had the opportunity to visit New York.

What three words would you use to describe Nottingham?

Fun, student-friendly and Diverse.

What do you think of the creative and cultural scene in Nottingham? Is Nottingham a good city for an Art & Design student?

If you could give new students some advice, what would it be?

I would tell students to try out something new every year and push themselves out of their comfort zone as much as possible. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help.

What do you think of the course staff?

Yes, everyone I’ve met so far is lovely and always willing to help when I need it.

What’s next for you after NTU?

As I speak 4 languages I would like to push myself further with them and I am looking to move to Europe. All I know is id like to live in a big city, working in the fashion industry in something related to events or PR so I can practice my languages.

Have the employability team helped you plan for life beyond NTU?

Yes, I had a session about a month ago that gave me some useful tips and links to help me think about what I am going to do.

why did you want to study in the UK?

I choose to study in the UK as It was the best option for my foot in the fashion world, also so I study in English and have the world open for me.

Still need help?
