More about Lujia
"I wanted to study at NTU because I was made aware of the School of Art & Design’s strong reputation while I was in China. The city itself is great, everything is convenient and there are various exhibitions and galleries to visit.
"My project is based on sustainable fashion which is an idea that was generated by a group presentation at the beginning of the induction week. I have used some elements of the history of Nottingham for my clothes, and I like using the industry-standard equipment available in the Bonington building.
"I enjoy the range of technical skills I have been able to develop on my course, such as embroidery, digital printing, laser cutting and various dye processes. The staff are very supportive and I often make appointments with them to discuss my work.
"The course can be very challenging at times, with lots of assignments going on. However I would definitely recommend it as it has opened my mind to lots of new ideas."
