"Coming to Nottingham has been the best decision I have ever made. It's a small city compared to London, but this is what I love about it; everything is within walking distance. Nottingham is like my home away from home."
Can you tell us a little bit about your exchange experience?
"I had the opportunity to spend four months studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, where I gained first-hand experience working at New York Fashion Week. I met people from all over the world and made some great connections. The whole experience taught me to not be afraid of starting a conversation with people you don't know. You never know, you could become great friends. I found it hard at first but the Marc Jacobs S/S 18 show was a turning point for me, it taught me to stand out and start a conversation."
What was the most valuable lesson you learnt whilst on your exchange?
“Talk to people. Socialise. Don’t be afraid of starting a conversation with people you don’t know. You never know, you could become great friends.”
