Why did you choose NTU and this course?

I chose NTU because of its strong reputation in business education and the practical approach it offers. The course is unique and strikes a great balance between theory and real-world application, which I think is crucial for succeeding in today’s fast-paced business world.

What has stood out about NBS?

What really stands out about Nottingham Business School (NBS) is the commitment to a well-rounded education. The professors are not only experts but also genuinely care about helping students succeed. I also love that the school emphasizes sustainability and ethical business practices, which are really important to me. The diverse and inclusive environment at NBS makes it an exciting place to learn.

How have you found the course facilities and have they helped you?

The facilities at NTU are amazing and have made a big difference in my studies. The modern classrooms, well-stocked libraries, and access to online resources have been super helpful. I especially appreciate the Bloomberg suite, where I’ve gained hands-on experience with real-time financial data. It’s been a game-changer for my coursework and research.

What is the favorite thing about your course?

My favorite thing about the course is the interactive and practical learning approach. We do a lot of group projects, case studies, and simulations, which help me apply what we learn in class to real-world situations. This has not only deepened my understanding but also improved my teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Have you taken part in academic mentoring? What has that involved?

Yes, I’ve been involved in academic mentoring, and it’s been a really rewarding experience. My mentor has guided me through research projects, helped with challenging material, and offered great career advice. The one-on-one meetings and feedback sessions have really helped me grow academically.

How have you found Nottingham as a student city?

Nottingham is known as student city - It’s vibrant, diverse, and full of opportunities. There is a great balance between academic life and social activities, with lots of cultural events, restaurants, and things to do. Public transport is super convenient, making it easy to get around and explore.

Has it been easy making new friends?

Making new friends at NTU has been pretty easy and a lot of fun. The university organizes so many events and activities that encourage socializing such as orientation week, club meetings and social gatherings. I have felt there has been plenty of opportunities to meet and connect with other students.

Have you felt supported through your studies?

Definitely. NTU has a strong support system that’s been really helpful throughout my studies. The Employability team offers workshops and one-on-one sessions that have boosted my job search skills. All credit goes to the team who professionally helped me find a part time job. The Student Support Services are great for both personal and academic advice, and the Global Lounge is a fantastic place to meet international students and join cultural exchange programs.

What is next for you after NTU?

After graduating from NTU, I plan to pursue a career in automobile industry. I believe the skills and knowledge I’ve gained here have prepared me well for the next step in my career.

Why did you want to study in the UK?

Studying in the UK has always been a dream of mine because of the high educational standards and the rich cultural experience. The UK has some of the world’s best universities, and learning from top-tier faculty was a big draw for me. Plus, experiencing British culture and building an international network were important factors in my decision.

Is NTU a good place for international students to study?

Yes, NTU is a great place for international students. The university provides extensive support to help us adjust to a new environment. From the Global Lounge to international student support, NTU makes sure we feel welcome and supported. The diverse community and inclusive culture make it easy to feel at home and succeed academically and socially.
