Students and Staff were also welcoming and helpful on the open day. I chose my course because of the various different modules offered and the unique placement year opportunity."

What has stood out about Nottingham Business School?

"Always getting students to engage in extracurricular study through the use of CPD hours – allowing students to learn and take part in activities outside of their degree learning which in most cases can be transferred into their degree learning. The staff are always looking out for students’ best interests and everything you undertake while here is always looking at progressing your personal and professional development. Accredited by EQUIS and ACCSB – internationally recognised hallmarks of excellence and quality."

How would you rate the course facilities and why?

"The facilities at NTU are of a great standard, allowing the course to create a great feel of inclusivity for all students. The course leaders are always looking at ways to improve, add new modules and take on student feedback through the use of regular end of module reviews given to by students."

What is your favourite thing about your course?

"While undertaking the International Business course I have found that the encouragement to continuously improve our personal and professional development to be very beneficial. Along with the unique and amazing experience of working and learning abroad in my placement year."

Can you tell us a bit about your placement?

"During my placement year I spent the first half working for a German company, GEA, working in the food technologies industry. During my time there I worked with the service team on finding a solution to the issues around BREXIT. In the second half of the year I began my study abroad programme in New Zealand at Massey University in Auckland. While attending I studied four subjects: Investment finance, International business, Teamwork & Leadership and Strategic Marketing Management. What was great about this experience was experiencing and learning about a new culture. I was also able to continue to develop my knowledge on previous modules learned at NTU and undertake some new learning."

What three words would you use to describe Nottingham?

"Inclusive, diverse and friendly."

How have you found Nottingham as a student city?

Students coming here will always find something good to do."

The support that both employability and global lounge teams provide is extremely helpful with gaining students access to work and study placement opportunities."
