More about Zhang
"I studied business management in China and felt that I then wanted to go on to learn something more specific and practical so I chose MSc Marketing.
"The teaching style is very different in the UK compared to China. Nottingham Trent University taught me to think critically and how to study independently. The tutors help to give you direction and the libraries provide material support.
"The degree is very practical and will be helpful for my future career. Nottingham Business School provides lots of activities and opportunities like the Thinkubator Challenge and Summer Recruitment Fair.
"My first few weeks in Nottingham were full of surprises every day: designer brands and vintage shops; big and independent cinemas, theatres and galleries; exciting festivals and events.
"Life in Nottingham is a special experience. It is a small city with lots of history, plenty of space and it is never boring. The best part of life in a small city is that people are friendly and know each other well, you can make good friends here very quickly!
"In my final term I had a work placement in the International Development Office. It's a great chance to learn how marketing works in an organisation, the experience is really valuable and memorable."
