Establish your own learning pathway, in line with your personal interests and intellectual ambitions – analyse 20th Century continental philosophy, the philosophy of everyday life, ancient philosophy, or the philosophy of religion. In our thriving postgraduate community, you’ll have support from a dedicated team of tutors and supervisors, who’ll help you to hone and develop your independent research interests.

You’ll develop a specialist’s appreciation of the traditional philosophical questions about justice equality, within the wider context of global issues and events. Studying philosophy at postgraduate level encourages intellectual innovation, imagination, and enterprise, and this course is the ideal gateway to MPhil or PhD-level research.
