Universities Policy Engagement Network (UPEN)

Overview: Rich manages NTU's relationship with UPEN and is co-chair of an Areas of Research Interest sub-committee which explores how academics and government departments can best align research priorities.

Policy Engagement Group

Overview: To better connect NTU expertise and research to policy makers at all levels, NCE alongside Eva Zemandl from SPS have developed the Policy Engagement Group spanning the entire university and supported by Institute for Knowledge Exchange Practice (IKEP) to share, learn and promote policy engagement across NTU.

Technical Breakthrough: Delivering Britain's Higher Level Skills - Post-18 Funding Policy Work with the VC
Partners: Edward Peck, Will Rossiter and Rich Pickford
Overview: Working with the Vice-Chancellor and Will Rossiter, NCE's Rich Pickford explored higher level skills and produced a policy orientated report with the Policy Exchange.

NCE Policy Fellows

Overview: NCE is hosting three policy fellows through 2023/24 to boost the policy impact of their work. These policy fellows will work with NCE through the year to develop meaningful work with key stakeholders.

Developing Academic Policy Engagement

PHAISE - International Nursing policy project
