Event details
This programme is open to all current NTU students. The 7 sessions will be held on Wednesdays, 5 – 7 pm on Global Lounge, City Campus between 16 October – 27 November 2024.
Join the seven-week Family History programme run by Dr. Cheryl Rounsaville (PGCert in Genealogical, Palaeographic & Heraldic Studies) and learn how to build a family tree, do family history research, the role of DNA in family history, and learn about the resources available to undertake this research.
There will be an 8th bonus session in February 2025 for delivery of final projects.
Family History research is about more than the names and dates. It is about uncovering your family stories and learning more about your ancestors, for example, where they lived, what they did for work, what historical events they experienced and more.
Students who attend at least 5 sessions (not including the bonus session) and do the final project will receive a certificate of completion.
Deadline to register is Wednesday 9 October 2024.
Why you should join:
- Meet people from diverse backgrounds.
