This activity is only open to NTU and Confetti HE students.
NTU Arts will be holding auditions for NTU Music Scholarships (vocal or instrumental tuition) and our award-winning Chamber Choir throughout the day at our Music Centre on City Campus.
Sign up for an audition and we’ll be in touch to arrange a time slot.
To apply for an NTU Music Scholarship you should be:
- Enrolled on an NTU undergraduate or postgraduate degree course
- A Grade 6 or 7 standard vocalist or a Grade 7 or 8 standard instrumentalist
You don't need to have taken and passed exams, but your audition performance should demonstrate that you are singing or playing to this level.
To join our Chamber Choir you should be:
- Enrolled on an NTU undergraduate or postgraduate degree course
- Able to sing to Grade 6 level and sight-read to Grade 5 level
Don't worry if you haven't taken any exams, and if you're not sure what level you're at – we'll assess your suitability during your audition.
What to prepare for your audition
For your audition you will need to prepare one piece (no longer than 5 minutes) which you feel best shows off your ability. If you are auditioning for the Chamber Choir there will also be a sight-reading test. An accompanist will be available if required.
