Five unmissable festive performances from NTU Music

Christmas is just around the corner, and to celebrate NTU Music have some very special performances lined up in the run up to the holiday season.

Winter Wonderland Nottingham

From a magical screening of The Snowman accompanied by a live orchestra, to carols and seasonal classics performed by our NTU Music ensembles – there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Celebrate the end of term with Christmas favourites from our talented students, staff and members of the local community in NTU Music’s Christmas Spectacular on Wednesday 5 December.

We’re also bringing Raymond Briggs’ The Snowman to life on the big screen at Nottingham’s Albert Hall, accompanied by a live orchestra in our Family Christmas Concert on Saturday 15 December. NTU and Confetti students and staff can get their hands on discounted tickets for this special event, but be quick as tickets are selling fast!

We’ve also got plenty of free festive events coming up, kicking off on Thursday 15 November with a special performance from the NTU Chamber Choir and members of our Brass Band at Nottingham’s Winter Wonderland. Warm up with a hot chocolate (or mulled wine!), and watch the lights switch on in the Old Market Square.

Do something different on your lunch break on Monday 10 December and pop along to the Royal Concert Hall for NTU Music’s annual free Lunchtime Christmas Concert. Enjoy a selection of Christmas tunes old and new, and warm up those vocal chords ready for some audience carols.

If you’re looking for a more traditional celebration, join NTU Faith for an evening of popular carols sung by our choirs in the beautiful setting of Nottingham’s All Saints’ Church. There’s no need to book, just turn up and enjoy the music at this traditional Christmas carol service.
