VolkerFitzpatrick and Nottingham Trent University collaborate to develop teaching, innovation and research

VolkerFitzpatrick, one of the leading engineering and construction companies in the UK, and Nottingham Trent University have announced a new strategic partnership, focused on providing career insights and industry interactions to attract a diverse and work ready future workforce for the engineering and construction sector.

VolkerFitzpatrick, who has a proud and distinguished history that dates back to 1921, carries out work for private and public sector customers on a wide variety of projects.

VolkerFitzpatrick will benefit from the highly skilled Nottingham Trent University (NTU) talent pool, including graduate roles, undergraduate placements, student projects and collaborative programmes for the School of Architecture, Design and Built Environment (ADBE) and to NTU students across the university as a whole.

The partnership brings about key areas of collaboration between NTU and VolkerFitzpatrick, which encompasses teaching and learning, innovation as well as research and development.

VolkerFitzpatrick will continue to support student career insights, as well as providing input into NTU’s curriculum development, ensuring courses continue to be industrially attractive, and recognised at the highest levels by accredited professional bodies, providing students with the attributes needed for future employment.
