Neena Kumari

Neena Kumari is an NBS student, studying the Executive Masters of Business Administration (EMBA) course, alongside working as a Team Leader in in Emergency and Obstetric Theatres at Nottingham University Hospitals. Neena chose to study this course at Nottingham Business School (NBS) to expand her knowledge, gain extra skills and to develop personally and professionally. This course is improving her as a leader, giving tools and strategies to make effective managerial decisions.

Neena’s team in Emergency and Obstetric Theatres at Nottingham City Hospital have done incredible work for the community, working on the front line, whilst also helping families in need have access to food during the holidays. Neena’s team collected food donations for struggling families following a request from charities, Sewa day and Communities Working Together.

Sewa Day and Communities Working Together have embarked on a new project of supporting vulnerable families for school holidays. This February half term, the charities have had a significant uptake from 70 families, which includes 172 children who are in need of food parcels. The charity will also deliver parcels to homeless people that have been accommodated in hotels and have no income.

Neena has been selected as a local hero to feature in a local Art Mural. On behalf of NBS, congratulations and thank you for all of the work you have done for our community.
