Success for NTU Handball
We are excited to announce that our Men’s Handball 1st team, have been officially confirmed as BUCS Champions.
Our men’s team successfully beat Loughborough in a tense final, taking the lead by one goal. Francisco Pereira 1st team captain commented that it had been a tough final and challenging year for the club. Despite the pandemic the squad have managed to train when permitted, and their hard work and dedication resulted in a fantastic final win.
We caught up with Tom Williams from the squad and he expressed how much the win has meant to the players on a personal level:
“The feeling really is indescribable, to win the competition with such a tight group of friends is the best feeling in the world.”
Muayad from the squad also commented “Wining the first edition of BUCS is definitely a story to tell.”
Our Men’s Handball Team are champions for the second year in a row, and are now confirmed as the first ever “BUCS Handball Champions”.
When reflecting on the unusual year for Handball Francisco stated:
“I have literally no words to describe this moment! What a club, what a year, what a family!”
Our Men’s 2nd team also had an amazing season taking 4th place in the Shield League.
