My time at NTU

During my time at NTU I have learnt a lot about myself and my photography, understanding what I enjoy and could see myself continuing with after my studies. I have also met so many amazing creatives during my time at NTU and know I will continue to keep in contact with them. Altogether I have loved the creative freedom NTU has given to their students and have learnt so much more about what I enjoy such as bookmaking, curating exhibits and critical writing.

My work

The body of work that I created in my final year called Woman to Woman focuses on the details upon my own and my mother’s body to analyse the omnipotent connection between a mother and daughter whilst also representing the powerful changes female bodies undergo throughout womanhood. Among the body of work, the photographs highlight on the authentic textures and magnificence of female flesh to reveal that as women, as daughters and mothers we can accept our bodies for all it does.

My future

In the future I’d love to be working within the gallery space, working with other creatives and curating exhibitions for photographers and artists. I am currently a part of a curation team for a photography competition called OFF Bratislava, which began in May and will continue beyond when I finish my studies. This opportunity has allowed me to gain more experience in working with a team to create a photography exhibition.

We are
