Statement from The Charted Institute of Marketing:

The Awarding Body at The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) has commended Nottingham Trent University for the excellent standard of results achieved for assessments submitted in the April 2021 assessments session for the Marketing Principles module of the Foundation Certificate in Professional Marketing.

This project is part-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF).

The Practical Marketing Skills course is Level 3 CIM accredited and part-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF). Through our ESF-funded projects, NBS is developing industry accredited courses that address the skill needs of local businesses and their employees in the current economic climate. With customer behaviours constantly changing, marketing is now more important than ever to the survival and success of businesses.

The four-day course, spread over four weeks, provides individuals with the knowledge and skills required for a solid foundation in marketing principles and practice alongside tips and techniques to stay up to date with the latest marketing trends.

Helen Sharp, Course Leader for the Professional Chartered Institute of Marketing suite of courses at Nottingham Business School commented:

Our links with professional bodies have always been strong at NBS and we have a long history of achievement working with CIM on our professional and degree courses. With the support of ESF funding and CIM accreditation, the Level 3 in Practical Marketing Skills is unique, and the only course offering a fully funded professionally accredited qualification supporting small businesses in our region.

We are delighted by the success and achievement of the students and businesses we have worked with on the scheme so far. People are an organisations most important asset, and this fantastic opportunity helps us to find, support and develop new talent from the local SME community to begin to achieve professional marketing skills”

Open to employees of SMEs based in Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire, the fully funded course provides individuals will receive a one-year CIM membership and the opportunity to take an assessment that contributes towards a full CIM qualification.
