Therefore, we’re pleased to announce that we will now be named Nottingham School of Art & Design. This new name signifies the reputation we have as one of the world’s leading Art & Design schools and reflects our heritage as Nottingham Government School of Design, founded in 1843.

With planning permission granted for a state-of-the-art building to house our new department for Design and Digital Arts, Nottingham School of Art & Design is aiming to become the leading art and design school in the UK.

This landmark building will enable NTU to develop its creative industries offering by bringing new technologies for film, animation, UX design, gaming and graphic design and illustration together with traditional design practice.

This new building pushes the boundaries, not only through the architecture and technologies used to create it, but through our courses, the opportunity for collaboration, and the graduates it will produce.
