Campbell Law School Induction Event

Nottingham Law School hosted Campbell Law School students for a three-day induction to their LLM International Legal Studies by Research course on 16 March 2022.

The event was held in the Chaucer Building at City Campus and featured a number of interesting sessions that all gave deeper insight to what can be expected from the course.

The day began with a welcome by Senior Members of Nottingham Law School including: Executive Dean Jenny Chapman, Deputy Dean Matthew Homewood, Head of NLS Postgraduate Portfolio Rachel Rowley, Associate Dean for Research Jonathan Doak, and Alex Kastrinou Principal Lecturer.

This was followed by a number of  educational sessions including a Comparative UK/US Legal Research presentation, session about Legal Writing, Footnotes and OSCOLA Referencing followed by a Q&A, and a presentation by the Nottingham Law School Legal Advice centre.

Over three days, students were also introduced to some of the sights in Nottingham, such as the newly refurbished Nottingham Castle, the National Justice Museum and drinks at the oldest inn in England, Ye Olde Jerusalem pub.
