BSc (Hons) Exercise, Nutrition and Health degree at NTU has received an undergraduate course endorsement with the British Dietetic Association’s Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENR).

SENR is recognised nationally as a mark of quality for those working in all areas of sports and exercise nutrition. The purpose of SENR is to promote the highest standards of education and services through its various registrations and accreditations.

The endorsement recognises that the undergraduate course has been mapped to the SENR knowledge competencies, acknowledging that NTU students are taught to known standards and with the appropriate competencies for sport and exercise nutrition. Should a student progress onto an appropriate postgraduate qualification, this endorsement would allow that student to apply for acceptance onto the organisation’s Graduate Register.

In addition to the recognition of the BSc Exercise Nutrition and Health course, both Dr Ruth James and Dr Neil Williams are now also accredited to SENR as Academic Registrants, meaning students are taught by staff who meet and continue to demonstrate core competencies of SENR. Dr Neil Williams said:

I am delighted with our SENR course endorsement success. For the Exercise, Nutrition and Health degree it demonstrates that what we teach and how we teach it is relevant to the growing and developing sector of sport and exercise nutrition. It also enhances our students' employability”.
