Motion-ExoStop by Clinton Anaso

BSc (Hons) Product Design

I chose to design a product that could aid stroke survivors preserve the progress they have made after physiotherapy during the night. The concept that is being developed is a hand guard that applies tension on the user’s fingers preventing them from regressing to their spastic form.

After graduating this year I’m considering doing a masters in medical engineering or product design. Once my university journey is concluded I would like to follow a career path in the designing and manufacturing of medical products and devices as they are a fundamental component to the health care industry and are essential in the treatment and diagnosis of conditions.

Clinton Anaso, creator, said: “The inspiration that brought forth to this design, is my fascination to the medical field and the products that are used in it. The project and the whole journey have been challenging but important steps to take in the building and becoming a well rounded product designer.”
