Competing teams will train and participate in qualifying tournaments in Nottingham from Monday 1 August – Friday 5 August before the CEC Finals at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham on August 6 – 7.

All of the action will take place in the new purpose-built esports venue, Confetti X, recently unveiled at the finals of this year’s British Esports Student Champs competition.

The arrival of the CEC comes off the back of a partnership with Global Esports Federation (GEF), an organisation that promotes the credibility, legitimacy and prestige of esports worldwide. NTU will be offering accommodation for athletes and creating a community space, and Confetti colleague and students on work experience will support GEF’s Esports Partner, FACEIT, to provide broadcasting and live streams.

With aspirations for esports to become a full medal event in 2026, this is a huge opportunity for NTU and Confetti students to put their skills to the test, championing Confetti’s ‘Do It For Real’ ethos.
