The sky’s the limit for Hollie and her fundraising adventure

Hollie McLachlan arranged the exhilarating event earlier in the year and had very personal reasons for doing so.

“My Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s five years ago,” Hollie told us. “Another member of my family – my Grandad –suffered from vascular dementia, before sadly passing away earlier this year. I know first-hand how these conditions affect sufferers and their families.”

Having never skydived before, Hollie was keen to do something that would grab people’s imagination and make them want to donate.

“I absolutely loved the skydive and I would do it again in a heartbeat,” she says. “It was one of the best experiences of my life. I used JustGiving, which was easy to set up and a brilliant way to raise money. I was able to achieve my goal in no time.”

Hollie originally planned to raise £1,500, but thanks to the generosity of nearly 100 supporters, she ended up beating that by 150 percent.
