Applications are now open for NTU Music’s annual vocal and instrumental competitions. Whether you’re a singer or an instrumentalist, this is your chance to showcase your talent in front of your fellow students, no matter your style — plus there are three cash prizes up for grabs: £100 for first place, £50 for second place, and £25 for third place!
Who can enter?
Any NTU and Confetti HE students can take part. You don’t need to be involved with NTU Music or play/using to a grade or level to get involved.
How do I apply?
To apply, fill in this online form. Applications close on Wednesday 31 January 2024.
Next steps
We'll invite you to take part in a preliminary round on Wednesday 7 February where you'll perform one piece of music. If you're selected to take part in the finals (Vocal Competition – 28 February, Instrumental Competition – 13 March), you'll be invited to sing or play in front of a professional adjudicator. An accompanist will be available for the final and should be used instead of a backing track, where possible.
