Every year we go off timetable for Industry Week and put together a schedule of talks and workshops from a variety of household names, such as:

  • Professor Green
  • Andy Copping – Download Festival
  • Michael Eavis – Founder at Glastonbury
  • Andy Rodgers – Senior Producer of Live Music, BBC Radio 1

At Confetti, we pride ourselves on our industry connections, which allow students to ‘Do It For Real’ and experience working in their chosen industries alongside their studies.

Our students get to crew and perform at a host events, including BBC IntroducingRough TradeGlastonburySplendour Festival and in Metronome.

Unlike most courses, your ‘classroom’ will be Metronome - our contemporary music and live events hub designed by world-renowned audio architects White Mark Ltd – who have designed studios for clients including Jay-Z and Damon Albarn, which gives you access to:

  • 400 capacity commercial music venue (for students and live signed bands to perform)
  • 14 rehearsal spaces
  • Five recording studios
  • Mastering, surround sound and post-production studio
  • Critical listening seminar room
  • Live events production workspace

Work opportunities

Our teaching staff will help and support you to develop your career, directing you towards work placement and professional practice opportunities. Some of your modules will be delivered by visiting lecturers who are active in the industry, giving you an up-to-date and relevant insight into the music industry today.

Previous students have gained production credits on work for Sony/RCA, worked with nationally-renowned artists such as Jake Bugg, recorded performances at the Royal Concert Hall and gained broadcast credits on Notts TV. Performance students have performed on many platforms including Splendour Festival, Hockley Hustle, Metronome, Nusic Future Sessions and more.
