Registration and Eligibility
We have taken the decision to postpone our Summer 2020 graduation ceremonies. As one of the highlights of the academic year, we'd like to reassure you that you'll still be given the chance to attend a graduation ceremony.
How to register
To register for graduation please log in to the registration portal where you can:
- register if you are attending or not attending
- select up to two free guest tickets
- confirm your details and any special requirements
We are unable to accept any late registration requests after the deadline of Friday 17 April 2020.
If you cannot attend your ceremony due to extenuating circumstances, you must inform us by Thursday 18 June 2020. Each request is assessed on a case by case basis and is not guaranteed.
Win a Graduation photography package
All students who have registered for their graduation ceremony by midnight on Sunday 22 March 2020 will be entered into a prize draw for a free graduation photography package from Marston Photography.
The prize is the Graduation Collection photography package, which includes individual and family portraits along with your on-stage photo, with two matching walnut frames, one for your certificate and one to hold an extra-large print of your individual portrait.
The winner will be contacted within 5 working days of the closing date and must acknowledge receipt of the prize by Friday 03 April 2020.
Visit our photography information pages for full terms and conditions. Please email us if you have any questions or queries about the prize draw.
Eligibility
Students are invited to attend one graduation ceremony only and you will be eligible to attend if you successfully complete your course before Thursday 18 June 2020.
You must register ahead of receiving your results. However once results are known, you are not eligible to attend the graduation ceremony if:
- you have been unsuccessful in your assessments
- you have an academic appeal or reconsideration request in progress or are subject to an investigation for academic misconduct (you may be invited to a later ceremony once the situation is resolved)
- you are in debt to the University for unpaid tuition fees
Students with outstanding debt
Students with outstanding debts for unpaid tuition fees will not be eligible to attend their designated ceremony unless payment has been made in full by Thursday 18 June 2020. In these circumstances students will not be deferred to a later round of ceremonies.
Please contact Income Finance and Debt Management regarding outstanding payments on +44 (0)115 848 6500
Not attending?
We still need you to tell us through the registration portal if you are not attending graduation and update your contact details. At the end of August, we will post your graduation certificate to you and therefore need to know where to post it.
