Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management
About this course
This Level 5 Retrofit Coordinator course is designed for professionals working across housing, refurbishment, sustainability, and energy efficiency who want to develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to manage domestic retrofit projects in line with PAS 2035 standards.
Suitable for Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs), Retrofit Assessors (RAs), surveyors, architects, engineers, project managers, and experienced installers or tradespeople, the course prepares you for the increasingly important role of Retrofit Coordinator.
Introduced through PAS 2035 and required on all TrustMark-funded domestic retrofit projects, Retrofit Coordinators play a central role in ensuring retrofit work is delivered safely, compliantly, and effectively. They oversee projects from assessment through to completion, helping to protect both property performance and occupant wellbeing while supporting the UK's wider net zero ambitions. TrustMark is the recognised Quality Mark for the energy efficiency sector and compliance with TrustMark and PAS 2035 is required by government-funded schemes
Delivered by practising industry professionals, the course combines technical knowledge with real-world insight from specialist guest speakers working across housing associations, heritage projects, retrofit design, installation, and RdSAP training. Learning is supported through practical test cases and industry-based case studies.
On successful completion, you will be eligible to apply for registration as a Retrofit Coordinator through a TrustMark-approved Retrofit Coordinator Scheme Provider.
The course will ensure you cover the range of topics required by PAS2035, these include:
- Introduction to domestic retrofit
