Support services available to you

Accessing support through the Disabled Students Allowance

You may be eligible for extra support through the Disabled Students Allowance. This can include:

  • specialist equipment
  • specialist tutoring
  • mentoring support.

We encourage you to apply as soon as possible as applications can take longer at this time of year. UCAS has produced a user-friendly guide to DSA. You can make an application through your Student Finance England account.

If you're on an apprenticeship, there's also alternative funding available. You can use it for extra support, such as:

  • equipment not available through Access to Work
  • mentoring support.
