What made you choose to study at NTU?

What do you enjoy most about your course?
“Recently, we have been working on designing our business cards with Pop Press, exploring monoprinting and taking part in zine making workshops. One of the highlights from my first year was developing my skills in InDesign and Photoshop.”

Has the course included any live projects or briefs?
“During Year Two, we have had the opportunity to complete a visual merchandising live project with COW, a vintage stop in Nottingham. It was really exciting, especially as the winner was fortunate enough to have their designs installed into COW’s window display.”

Has the course included any speakers / lecturers from industry?
“The former editor of British Vogue, Alexandra Shulman, visited NTU as spoke to us about her career at Vogue. I've looked up to Alexandra for a long time, so it was very inspiring hearing her story about how she got to where she is now.”

What do you like about studying and living in Nottingham?
"Coming from a small town, I love living in a city. There is such a diverse range of shops, restaurants and bars in Nottingham meaning there's something for everyone.”

How do you find the student community within the School of Art & Design / wider University?
“Everyone I’ve met within the School of Art & Design sector are so interested in each other’s work and you get inspired by the creativity you see around the campus. It's useful to collaborate with people from different art courses so you can help others and access help when you need it.”
