What made you choose to study at NTU?
“Choosing NTU was an easy decision! The University and course has an excellent reputation that you can really experience. Also, Nottingham is a great student city with many events to offer and everything is easily accessible by foot.”

Has the course included any live briefs?
“As part of our Fashion Management and Marketing module in Year One we took part in a visual merchandising project with John Lewis. We proposed a theme for their shop window that included creating a mood board and some trend research.”

Has the course included any guest speakers?
“It’s always interesting to hear from people in the industry. An optional guest lecture that I particularly enjoyed was delivered by David Telfer, a menswear designer for COS. In his lecture he talked about zero waste and minimalism.”

Why would you recommend studying Fashion Management at NTU?
“Fashion Management at NTU is a great course that gives you a good idea of the industry and all the different job roles. It provides many opportunities to try out the practical side, especially through the optional year-long work placement.”

Can you tell us a little bit about the optional study trip to New York?
“During our time in New York I particularly enjoyed the BPD EXPO 4.0 (Blueprint Denim Exhibition). It was very interesting to see so many innovative ideas and chat to people from the industry.

“Trips are always fun to go on and going with your course gives you opportunities that you wouldn’t necessarily have if you went on your own, such as industry links and events. Plus, it is a great way to get to know people from your course that you normally don’t get to talk to.”
