What made you choose to study at NTU?
“NTU is the perfect choice for fashion students and is highly respected by companies in industry. The open day showed me that Nottingham is an enjoyable place to study with amazing shops and things to do; it’s a great place to live as a student!”

What do you enjoy most about studying Fashion Marketing and Branding (FMB)?
“I enjoy producing work using InDesign because we have to consider everything from a brands perspective - it makes business reports have a creative edge as it is written in a branded style. Fashion Marketing and Branding includes a combination of business and creative thinking which gives you a perfect set of skills for employment after university.”

Has the course included any guest speakers?
“FMB alumni have come in and led sessions which is motivating as it helps you to imagine what career you could be in after university. Guest speakers help to keep the course interesting and inspiring, and gives you a way to communicate with industry.”

Has the course included any live projects?
“I am working on a live brief with Next on online user experience. These type of projects prepare you for industry by helping you to deconstruct briefs and create a creative outcome. It gives you the chance to apply your learning to a real-life brief and work to a set time period.”

What do you enjoy most about studying and living in Nottingham?
“Nottingham is homely and everything is so close to get to! There is a wide array of shops including big brands and independent clothing brands. There are also some amazing independent restaurants and coffee shops.”

Why would you recommend your course?
“The course gives you an in-depth understanding of marketing and the fashion industry. It encourages you to think about fashion alongside other industries and the cultural influence of fashion. NTU is an amazing place to study fashion because it’s such a welcoming and enjoyable environment.”

Has the course provided any work experience opportunities?
“In Year Two we have an optional ten week work placement in industry. I will be working as a PR admin assistant at Marks and Spencer.”
