NTU is one of the few universities which still have colour darkrooms which is a huge benefit as it allows you to build up a broader range of skills.
More about Shuai
"After looking around various universities, I wanted to study at NTU because of the course but also because the University is located right in the city centre. The city is a good size meaning that I can get to most places very easily.
"I find the teaching staff very friendly and easy to talk to. In particular, my tutor has lots of experience in the field which means he is able to offer lots of different advice on many areas of photography. For international students the biggest problem we face is the language barrier, but the teaching staff are very understanding and able to communicate with me very clearly to ensure I understand everything I need to.
"All the equipment here is very professional; we have access to various dark rooms, three different sized studios and Mac suites. The camera store is perfect for hiring the latest professional equipment. NTU is one of the few universities which still have colour darkrooms which is a huge benefit as it allows you to build up a broader range of skills.
"During our group tutorials every student gets the chance to show their work which really helps with idea generation. The atmosphere in these sessions is great and I feel like I develop as a photographer. Every week we have different guest speakers which is the perfect chance to learn something from someone who is already successful in the photography industry."
