More about Zita

What do you enjoy most about studying Fashion Management?
“It's highly organised! Everything we learn is relevant and taught at the right times. It offers a great blend of fashion and business. All the lecturers are so helpful and supportive which makes the course so much more enjoyable!”

Has the course included any live projects?
“Yes! One of the most enjoyable live projects was set by John Lewis as part of our Fashion Management and Marketing module. We were asked to analyse John Lewis' customers' buying behaviour through primary and secondary research.

"With this research we went on to design and propose a suitable window display that would attract customers into the store. After pitching our concept to several of John Lewis' representatives, my group went on to win. We spent three days designing and dressing John Lewis' largest window display at their Nottingham store with our design concept.”

How do you find the course staff?
“So supportive! Our lectures always offer extra support with drop-in sessions. There is also support from the Employability Team where you can go for help with your CV and cover letters. I've found this a really helpful service to make use of.”

Why would you recommend studying Fashion Management at NTU?
“Nottingham is a busy city, offering every shop and restaurant you can think of! There is always something going on with a different club to go every night. Fashion Management is perfect if you have a passion for fashion but on the business side. It offers a great blend of creativity and business.”

Has the course included any work experience opportunities?
I have been lucky enough to have recently been offered a placement with Ralph Lauren. I am so excited to use all the knowledge I have learned and put it all into practice in the working environment.”

How did you find the study trip to New York?
"Not only do you get to spend a week in one of the most amazing cities with your course friends but being fashion students you pick up on what's going on in the industry.

"We went to a denim event in Soho which was so interesting to learn about the future of denim and all these companies who work with denim. I learned that the fashion industry definitely does not sleep in New York, there is always something going on!"
