Why NTU…

What inspired you to study your subject?

I have always been interested in the media as I find it very exciting. I love that it’s constantly changing and has such a powerful voice in society today. I was/ am eager to learn more about it and hopefully pursue a career in media.

Why did you choose your course and NTU?

The courses modules were more exciting than other universities I looked at and I felt like I’d enjoy it a lot more.

What’s your experience been like of your course so far? Can you pick out any highlights?

I’ve loved my course so far! My course tutors are amazing and clearly have good knowledge of what they’re talking about.

A key highlight for me has been the content creation module because it’s very practical and makes learning about all the film equipment very fun. As well as that, this module has been a brilliant place for me to meet friends because it’s so light-hearted when filming and everyone just has a laugh whilst we’re doing our work – making it feel like I’m not doing any work!

What do you think of the support available from tutors and staff at NTU?

The tutors are so supportive and always offer help to all of us! They respond to emails as soon as possible and are always so on point with the information I ask about

Outside of the Lecture Theatre…

Did you find it easy to make friends and settle in at NTU?

Absolutely! Everyone that you meet will always talk to you. Everyone’s also in the same boat and wanting to make friends which makes talking to people seem so much less daunting.

Advice...

What top tips would you give anyone thinking about studying your course at NTU?

Don’t choose based on the course name, choose based on the course modules. Understand what you’re getting yourself into and make sure it excites you.
