Why did you want to study a professional course?

“I wanted to gain a widely recognised qualification that is directly related to my current role and future career aspirations. My degree was in a different discipline, and so I needed to demonstrate my ability and skills as a Marketer – and what better way than a course accredited from the professional body. Nowadays the internet offers an endless ocean of information on a given subject and having explored that route, I made a very conscious decision that I wanted to do a course where I could utilise my existing knowledge, learn a lot more and gain a certificate which benchmarks my skills.”

Why did you choose to study at NTU?

“NTU has a great reputation amongst my friends and across the city. It is close to where I live and very well located to commute, especially by tram. The course pass rate was really strong which was reassuring. Classes at the university campus and face-to-face contact with tutors and other students was particularly important to me.”

What stands out about Nottingham Business School?

“The facilities at NTU are modern and well looked after. The moment you enter the building there is such a nice vibe flowing from the students.  I found attending classes enjoyable and if I decide to continue training and studying towards the next level of qualification, I will definitely choose NTU.”

How do you believe this professional course has affected your career and your current job role?

“The course opened my eyes and I gained a whole new perspective to the world of marketing. The qualification gave me more confidence in my knowledge and ability and has improved the level at which I am able to perform – recently leading to a promotion. It has enabled me to become a workplace expert in the subject, increasing my profile within my business and allowing me to share the latest marketing trends with my colleagues.”
