Why NTU?

Why did you choose to study a postgraduate degree in Education?

"With 11 years of teaching experience, I chose the postgraduate degree to enhance my knowledge in the education sector. This course has not only given me insight into teaching pedagogy but also credibility for my teaching career."

Why did you choose your course at NTU?

"The subjects provided by NTU in this postgraduate course, such as curriculum innovation, social justice in education and policy and practice, can be directly translated into a mainstream education setting."

What’s your experience been like of your course so far?

"It's been amazing. I love the lecturers on my course - they are so supportive. They have created an environment where students can reach out and discuss anything and everything related to the course and beyond."

Have you been involved in any projects or extra-curricular activities that have supplemented your studies run through NTU?

"I was given the opportunity by one of my lecturers to deliver a presentation to the part-time MA students. This helped me to build my confidence and believe in myself."

Outside of the Lecture Theatre

Did you find it easy to make friends and settle in at NTU?

"Making friends in NTU wasn’t hard for me and I've even made friends from other courses across the uni. I love the diverse environment, which has helped me settle in really quickly. "

As an International Student

Why did you want to study in the UK?

"I visited the UK on holiday and I loved it. I also studied a couple of other courses in UK previously, so it made sense to continue my studies here."

What experiences have you had as an international student at NTU?

"NTU strives to be a multicultural and inclusive university. For example, there is a multicultural prayer room, as well as catering for different diets with halal food and vegan options."

As an international student, this makes me feel valued for who I am and where I come from. I feel included at NTU.

What advice would you give to help new international students get settled in at university?

"Try to get involved in everything that NTU has to offer aside from the course. You'll gain valuable experiences and additional information for your CV."
