Why did you choose to study a postgraduate degree in Education?

"I have chosen to advance my educational qualification with a postgraduate degree because I believe it will bring me closer to achieving my dream profession."

Why did you choose your course at NTU?

"I chose to study MA Education at NTU because of its outstanding teaching and learning. I was captivated by the programme’s modules and its impacts on global educational trends and current practices.

My experience has been thought-provoking and intriguing. All seminars and lectures have been interactive, as I have been able to discuss, learn about the educational practices in other countries, and debate current policies and practices.

For me, the most interesting module is Curriculum Innovations, as it has increased my confidence and potential of innovating a curriculum design that I believe would be much appreciated by the Nigerian government."

What does Social Sciences mean to you?

"Influencing the world and impacting people’s lives. Social sciences encompass all forms of disciplines that are people-oriented. It is about interacting with people in a quest to solve problems and advance their livelihood."

"The support from tutors and staff has been exceptional, with prompt email replies, tutorials about coursework, the opportunity to defer assessment submissions, and more general support."

What's next?

What’s next for you after NTU?

"I aim to further my education at NTU, by applying for a PhD."

How is NTU helping you to achieve your career goals?

"NTU has been very helpful in providing professional information and guidance to enable me to advance my career. The regular career tips and workshop programmes have provided me with clarity on relevant career requirements in the U.K and abroad."

Has the employability team helped you plan for life beyond NTU as a postgraduate student?

"Through webinars, programmes and carer workshops I have gained tips on career planning within and beyond the UK."

Why did you want to study in the UK?

"I wanted to study in the UK because of its English-speaking culture and being home to globally recognised universities."

What experiences have you had as an international student at NTU?

"As an international student, I have become more self-dependent. Through time management, I have been able to attend lectures, tutorials, and seminars as scheduled, alongside work while having to deal with different academic expectations.

Through the university’s online workspace (NOW) I have been reminded of forthcoming submissions, kept tabs on my progress, and been able to access a broad range of learning resources to enhance learning."
