Why did you choose NTU and Nottingham Law School?

Nottingham Law School’s strong links with local chambers, proven track record of graduate employability and its award-winning pro-bono scheme are just some of the reasons I chose to study at NTU.

Why did you choose postgraduate study at NTU?

1. NTU offers the BPTC at a much lower cost than many other providers.
2. The teaching is provided by qualified lawyers who have first-hand experience of the subjects they teach.
3. The cohort is relatively small which allows for better communication between the tutors and students.

What have you enjoyed about your course?

The tutors and cohort were the highlights of the course.

As qualified lawyers, the tutors can offer much more than just the teaching of the syllabus and were always able to answer more general questions and offer support.

I was lucky to have a diverse and friendly bunch of course mates who made a challenging year much more bearable.

What marks out of 10 would you give for course facilities and why?

10/10 – we were provided with all the necessary materials at the beginning of the year as well as iPads and access to online databases. Between the library and Chaucer building, there were always computers and study spaces available to use.

How would you promote NTU to potential students in 10 words  or fewer?

It’s a brilliant place to get through a tough year.

What’s next for you after NTU?

I’ll be pursuing a pupillage with the continued support of the tutors and employability team.

Has the employability team helped you plan for life beyond NTU?

Yes – as well as providing CV and application workshops, we had regular networking events which provided a great insight into life at the bar.
