Things to do while you're here
1. Get to know our Clifton Campus
You’re visiting our Clifton Campus, where your course of interest is taught. Check out your future campus with a student-guided tour. General campus tours run from 9 am – 5 pm and take about 45 minutes. Tours leave from the Pavilion building (map ref. P) – you don’t need to book a tour, just head to the meeting point (map ref. T).
2. Get to know your course
You can speak to academic staff and find more information on what it’s like to study your course at NTU. See the table above for the location of your subject hub and opportunities to view course facilities.
Make your way to our student residences at any point during the day to look around, or chat to our team on the Accommodation stand in the Pavilion building (map ref. P).
4. Chat to our students
Our students will be available all day to answer your questions – ask anything and everything you want to know.
5. Get a taste of student life
With the help of our Student Support team and societies, you could bring a whole new dimension to your uni life. Use the table above to find out where you can meet the people committed to making your time at NTU as enjoyable and productive as it should be.
6. Take a break
We'll have a barbecue running from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm in Clifton Plaza, outside the Pavilion (map ref. P) and hot and cold drinks, freshly baked pastries, sandwiches, soups, confectionery and snacks will be available to purchase from 9 am to 5 pm at the Barista Coffee Shop in the Pavilion (map ref. P).
Staying safe on campus
The safety of our visitors, staff and students is our top priority. This event has been planned and will be conducted in line with the University’s COVID-19 measures. There are safety measures in place across all campuses and we have advised all staff to take a lateral flow test before coming to campus, to not travel or work if they display any symptoms or feel unwell, and to wear a mask in crowded spaces. You can help us by also following these guidelines
- Please conduct a Lateral Flow Test before travelling to campus.
- Please wear a face mask in crowded spaces.
- Please do not travel to campus if you feel unwell or have any symptoms.
Ready to apply for accommodation?
Did you know that you can request a room online or with the help of one of our advisors at the event? If you have made NTU your firm (first) choice, you can request a room by booking online or by visiting the accommodation stand in the Pavilion building (map ref. P) if you would like help choosing.
If you book accommodation during the Open House, you’ll receive £200 of campus credit to spend in NTU catering outlets, the print shop and Bonington Art Shop*.
If you are made an offer of a place at the Open House through Clearing, you will need to refer yourself to NTU via UCAS before we can confirm your room. However, you can still complete the form while you’re at the event by scanning the QR code in halls and filling out the short form. You must refer yourself within 48 hours in order to complete this process or we will not be able to offer you a room until on or after Tuesday 10 August.
*Credit will be applied to your NTU Student Card in Term One, after you have moved into your accommodation. The offer is available for bookings made on Saturday 31 July 2021 or Sunday 1 August 2021 only. You must not have an existing accommodation booking with NTU. This offer is valid for bookings in UPP accommodation and our advertised partner private providers and cannot be used in conjunction with other offers.
Travelling between campuses
Travelling from Clifton Campus to City Campus
The NCT number 1 bus will be running a free service all day to City Campus. This bus leaves from Clifton Lane, just outside of the main gate of Clifton Campus and it will drop you off on Beastmarket Hill, which is a short walk from City Campus. The bus runs approximately every 20 minutes on Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sunday, and can also drop you off at the train station if needed. Simply show the driver the image above this box, which will allow you to travel for free.
Explore our virtual tour
Use our virtual tour to get to know your subject in more detail through on-demand presentations, take a closer look at the facilities and learning spaces you'll be using at NTU, and then get the bigger picture with a campus tour. There's 360-degree views of our accommodation, plus videos that'll give you a flavour of life on campus.
Clearing is your chance to apply for university courses after you have received your exam results, or if you have not already applied through UCAS.
We make accommodation easy. Our halls of residence are secure, inclusive of all bills, and within easy reach of campuses and amenities, giving you more time to focus on your studies, settling in, and making friends.
