Me and my friends are poor but the maltings has never made us feel poor. we have everything we want, the sun, the garden, tv, sofas, and most days we realise we dont even have to buy a ticket to a club and go out because we have somewhere to chill already. our best parties have been in the garden with a bottle of wine.
Sometimes the heaters in the rooms work, most times they don't. You cant control them.
Dear, I am living in The Maltings accomodation. I have lots of valuable experience in these time living here. My room is so lovely, and the events hold by accomodation helps me to decorate my room more wonderful. My room is opposite the court, so when I wake up, I always take a deep look at the green outside from the tree, the yard, the frass, and also the serene feeling coming to me everyday since early in every morning. The marvellous radiator helped me to overcome the severe winter. I also like the kitchen with strong ventilation and cozy atmosphere after coming back from my long day. Every week, there is a cleaner coming to tidy our flat, which is my favourite. I usually asked them about the places around and get their suggestions where I should enjoy for my taste. My flamates, of course, is the reason makes my living experience in the accomodation so fabulous. We are nice and willing to share everything with each other, it can be food: bread, eggs or drugs if someone is sick.
The Maltings is hand down the best value for money you can get for university accomodation. Good facilities in a decent location in Nottingham. Yes it's on the outskirts in Basford. However UPP provide a free bus pass and there is also the tram stop 5 minutes away. I'd stay here over anywhere in the city centre as you can get the hustle and bustle in the City but also the tranquility of living in the outskirts. This place is perfect for undergrads, postgrads and internationals. They have a cleaning service and the maintenance team and reception are friendly and available morning noon and night. All this for under £100 a week is a steal especially when some properties in the city are upwards of £180 pppw. If you're a student coming to Nottingham this year stay at the Maltings you won't regret it.
Good experience living in The Maltings.
Overall, a great housing space that is well kept with good amenities. It has provided good value for money and I have enjoyed my stay here!
As a mature student I didn't want to be on campus, the 20 minute bus ride is perfect time to decompress after lectures, and enables me.to jump off on the way home to do shopping and go to the gym. The weekly rent is cheap considering what you get, and it includes a bus pass for the academic year.
My time at The Maltings was amazing. Booked for second year too
The cheapest Accomodation in Nottingham and you will get a really good social life if you go and spend some time in the common room.
Fun! Safe! With lots of social events!
All staff were incredibly friendly, especially the front desk staff. Internet connection almost never went down and was incredibly fast. The accommodation itself is probably about an hour walk from city center, but a free NCTX bus pass is given by UPP. My only real complaint is that our flat had numerous serious plumbing problems, and problems with mold in the bathroom, however these were both quickly sorted out by staff.
staff are very lovely and always happy to help, rooms are large and very good for the prices you pay. bi-weekly cleaning is great and there is a bus stop right outside that takes you to the city centre.
This was my first time leaving home and living without my family, and honestly, it wasn’t easy going abroad alone to a completely unfamiliar country at such a young age. But from the very first day, the staff here made everything so much easier. They’ve always been welcoming, friendly, and genuinely concerned about our well-being and safety. Thanks to them, I never really felt alone. The environment is warm and supportive, and it truly feels like a second home. That’s why I keep rebooking and have decided to stay here for the entire 3 years of my studies haha! I just love it here. Also, I had all the facilities I needed. Overall, it’s been very good value for money especially considering the quality of the accommodation and services. Coming from a low-income country, the cost felt quite high for me personally, but the comfort, safety and support I received made it absolutely worth it.
The rooms are perfect the big and I recommend to everyone
The Maltings accommodation is great value for money and the staff here are amazing. The services they provide couldn’t be better. The flat itself is the perfect size and the rooms at the maltings are above the average size of normal uni accommodation rooms which is great!
It's a bit of an old building so socialising can be hard but in general it's a wonderful place to live. The WiFi is fast and consistent, it's maybe gone down a handful of times throughout my stay and the cleaning team is amazing. I highly recommend The Maltings.
The staff are all super friendly! The accommodation is super clean and kept on top of
