From your first day until the last, thank you for your commitment, hard work and for taking all the opportunities offered to you.

Your ceremony

Celebrating your success is a highlight in our NTU calendar and we know just how important it is to you and your families. That’s why we have postponed the July 2020 graduation ceremonies so that students have the opportunity to attend a bespoke ceremony. We hope that these can take place before then end of 2020, but this depends a great deal on government restrictions.

Rescheduled ceremonies

Once we have a new date for your graduation ceremony we will let you know using the contact details we currently have. We will also use these details to send you your Higher Education Achievement Record and certificates which you may need for future employers so please ensure that your personal email address and permanent home address are up to date. If you finished in the summer of 2020, you should receive these certificates around the middle of September. 

All students who were due to graduate in July 2020 will be invited to register for the rescheduled ceremonies and be given the opportunity to reserve up to two free guest tickets. Additional tickets may be released for booking once availability has been assessed closer to the date of the actual ceremonies.

If you are a 2020 graduating student and are unable to attend the bespoke graduation when dates are published, you can join ceremonies up to July 2021. When you receive your new invitation to attend a ceremony, if you can’t to make the date, please contact the Graduation team on NTU.Graduations@ntu.ac.uk.

For international students, while we cannot predict travel restrictions or visa requirements in advance, we will ensure that if you or your family is unable to attend the postponed ceremony because of ongoing disruption, you can book for a later ceremony. We will be taking international travel disruption into account when setting the dates of the postponed ceremonies. NTU Graduation can provide visa support letters for international students to apply for a visa once you have registered for your ceremony. To request this just email NTU.Graduations@ntu.ac.uk.


Refunds

If you already made orders for the July 2020 ceremonies, these will not be transferred to a future ceremony date, so please make sure you make a new booking once the dates are rescheduled.

All our gowning suppliers and photographers have agreed that if you already booked and paid through them, you can either carry over your current booking or get a refund.

If you ordered a Certificate Tube from NTU at the time of booking, we will refund this cost automatically to the same payment method. If you have any concerns regarding this please contact NTU.Graduations@ntu.ac.uk.

We took the decision early to postpone graduations to save students incurring as much cost as possible. While we can’t refund expenses you may have incurred, we are happy to provide confirmation for travel insurance purposes that the ceremonies have been postponed. If you require this, please contact the Graduation team on NTU.Graduations@ntu.ac.uk.
