Nottingham Trent University (NTU) has been awarded the world’s first Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Employability Programme Award. The award, for our BA (Hons) Marketing course, recognises the focus we place on developing our students’ employability and the skills and behaviours expected by future employers.

CIM is the world’s leading professional marketing body and by recognising that our marketing programme maps to the body’s recommended criteria, it ensures our students are best equipped to progress their knowledge and career.

Jonny Crawley, Learner Partnerships Manager at CIM, said: “NTU has partnered with the Chartered Institute of Marketing to map the content of the BA (Hons) Marketing course against CIM’s unique Professional Employability Criteria – a framework of behaviours, knowledge, and skills required of today’s graduates.

The move will see NTU’s BA Marketing course achieve the world’s first awarded CIM Employability Programme (CEP) status and demonstrates that Nottingham Business School is preparing its students for a dynamic world of work by helping to shift the ‘soft’ to essential capabilities narrative.”

The award builds on NTU’s status as a CIM Accredited Degree Partner. CIM modules are included throughout the course giving our students the opportunity to gain a number of professional qualifications alongside their degree.

Nottingham Business School’s BA (Hons) Marketing Course Leader, Dr Seamus Allison, added: “This accolade is a testament to our dedicated course team and the outstanding efforts of our students. It not only solidifies our position as leaders in marketing education but also inspires us to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation in preparing our graduates for success."
